Flowtoys defines flow as "the emerging movement-based artforms that integrate dance and creative exploration of movement with skill-based prop manipulation." The prop that is being used in the photos to the left is called a "Pixelwhip." Made up of strands of fiber optic strands and a light source, I manipulate the prop through dance.
I pride myself in the fact the I am a self-taught user of the Pixelwhip and have been using the prop since 2018. Though it was birthed in an entirely different community, I have been working to bridge the flow arts and theatre in my work. As seen in my media section, I utilized the pixelwhip as a storytelling device in my one-person show entitled "the lost loser."
